Why spend time and money going to a gym to get fit, when it’s as easy as getting on your bike? Cycling for short journeys can help you get the exercise you need every day and you hardly need change your routine.

We have an interactive cycle map and an order form for copies of paper maps.


Experts say adults can improve their overall fitness and health with just 30 minutes of moderate exercise (enough to get you warm and slightly out of breath) each day. And that’s as easy as a 15 minute – about two miles each way – cycle ride to and from work every day, to the shops or to visit friends, instead of taking the car. Or for longer journeys, why not cycle part of the way? You’ll find lots more information and advice on keeping fit and healthy by visiting the NHS website.
