Give cycling a go and you could win cinema tickets – workplace cycle challenge

In June 2010 employees in Greater Manchester were invited to take part in a cycling competition, organised by CTC and Challenge for Change and local authorities in Greater Manchester. Cycle for at least ten minutes to win a cinema ticket and be in with a chance to win a spot prize. Organisations who registered were able to compete against each other – to see who could get the most people cycling.

We hope the competition will run again in 2011, for more information go to www.gmworkplacechallenge.org.uk. Although the competition has now closed, you can still register your cycle trips, set targets for yourself and join the online forum.

Cycle to work, register your trip and enter a free prize draw – the GM cycle competition

In 2009 and 2010 we ran a cycling competition for anyone working or studying in Greater Manchester. To enter you simply had to cycle to work/education at least once during Bike Week (June). Once you had registered your cycle trip you are automatically entered into a free prize draw. Over 1,500 people took part in the competition in June 2010. So if you already cycle to work or if you’d like to help encourage a colleague to cycle, why not take part.

We hope to run the competition again in 2011, watch this space for more information .
