After a considerable amount of work, the Trans Pennine Trail from Broadheath to Heatley is now nearing completion.

With numerous setbacks hampering progress, ranging from poor weather conditions to drainage issues it is now 'business as usual' for the Trans Pennine Trail.

At one point it was feared that work would never be completed with the emergence of a broken drain creating a significant leak which caused flooding over some distance.

Within the immediate vicinity of the flooding the foundations to the trail have been laid with the final surfacing to this area to be completed this spring when the weather improves.

Already the Trans Pennine Trail is already generating positive feedback from users and once completed the vastly improved route will continue to provide an excellent service to users who enjoy the Trafford countryside.
