Section of Trans Pennine Trail [TPT] re-numbered

As agreed with Stockport Council’s Cycle User Group, the ‘northern strand’ of the TPT has now had its signs amended in accordance with it becoming a section of National Cycle Network [NCN] route 55. Temporary stickers have been added to the existing signs by Sustrans volunteers along the Green Pastures – Craig Rd – Heaton Norris – Lancashire Hill section. This work is the second phase [following the installation of information boards at the ‘Pyramid’ roundabout] of helping visitors to Stockport navigate their way along the TPT. The TPT running through Stockport Town Centre [including Chestergate and Great Underbank] is still signed as NCN route 62
