Why doesn’t your online cycle map use Google Maps?
Google Maps is familiar to many of us and has an easy to use interface. So why don’t we use Google Maps to display the cycle routes? The routes were created with the help of Ordnance Survey maps. Unfortunately under the terms of our license with Ordnance Survey we are not permitted to use Google Maps to display data derived from OS maps. Also Google Maps can be very slow when you try to plot a lot of data (such as our extensive network of routes).
